"Elizabeth" actress Cate Blanchett is reportedly turning down offers to try on designer Oscar gowns - because she's terrified her baby will throw up over them.

The mum-of-two, who has been nominated for a prize for her role as Katherine Hepburn in "The Aviator" at the ceremony later this month, says she is playing it safe and looking at dresses on the Internet instead, reported the Femalefirst portal.

"I've visited style.com. I'm just too scared to put on a dress in case the baby vomits on it," she said.

The blonde beauty, who gave birth to baby Roman last April, revealed that she would wear her chosen gown just minutes before hitting the red carpet to avoid any baby mishaps.
