Pop diva Britney Spears has been charged for her debut film 'Crossroads' for allegedly stealing ideas from a scriptwriter.

According to Ananova, Christopher Merrill, the scriptwriter claims that the movie has obvious semblance to his script for 'Dream Alive'.

The suit has been filed in a court in Los Angeles, California.
