Pop singer Whitney Houston came down with a case of food poisoning during a flight to France, a representative for the singer said.

"Whitney Houston was rushed to a hospital in Paris because of severe vomiting. She was sick on the aircraft," her Los Angeles publicist Nancy Seltzer was quoted by the People magazine as saying.

Houston, 41, was travelling with a bodyguard on an American Airlines flight.
