Cate Blanchett has credited wearing Katharine Hepburn's favourite camisole for helping her win this year's Oscar award.
The "Elizabeth" star, who scooped this year's Best Supporting Actress award for her portrayal of Hepburn in "The Aviator", was reportedly wearing the late legend's
undergarment gifted to her by Hepburn's goddaughter, reported the Femalefirst celebrity portal.
"Cate was wearing an undergarment lent to her by Hepburn's goddaughter, Katharine Kramer. The director Martin Scorsese introduced them before filming as he thought
Katharine might help her prepare for the role," a source was quoted as saying.
"As the undergarment was a gift from Hepburn, Katharine thought it appropriate she should pass it on to Cate for good luck."
When Blachett won her award at the star-studded event, she especially took time off to thank Hepburn's goddaughter when she said: "When you play someone as
terrifyingly well-known as Katharine Hepburn, it's a collaborative effort - you need as much help as you can get."
