Veteran singer Sir Elton John is convinced that Prince Charles' marriage to Diana was a tragic mistake.

The pop superstar has urged the world to accept Charles' plans to wed Camilla Parker-Bowles on April 8, because it's his big chance to find romance and happiness with the right woman.

"I think that when he married Princess Diana, I don't think that maybe they were the right couple to get married at that time," the 'Candle In The Wind' singer was quoted by ratethemusic.com, as saying.

"I was great friends with Princess Diana, but I know Charles as well and he's a good-intentioned man. I just think he initially married the wrong woman and he probably should have married the right woman," he added.
