"Sex and the City" star Cynthia Nixon has officially moved in with her woman companion, Christine Marinoni, three months after her split with live-in boyfriend, Danny Mozes.

Nixon and her two children - Samantha, 7, and Charles, 2 - were earlier splitting time between the Upper West house she shared with Mozes and Marinoni's ground-floor apartment in Brooklyn's Park Slope, reported the New York Post.

The star, who was with Mozes for 15 years before she famously left him for the education activist whom she met in May 2002, will now be sending Samantha to a public school in the neighbourhood, a source was quoted as saying.

Nixon's shifting to Brooklyn is a case of real life imitating reel life as in "Sex and the City" Nixon's character, Miranda Hobbes, also moved to Brooklyn in the final season of the hit HBO show.
