Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has left his neighbours fuming by trying to buy the public beach outside his Italian home.
The actor is reportedly desperate to buy the small stretch of coastline, situated beside the two properties he owns in Laglio village on Lake Como, and has put in a number
of bids to local authorities to purchase the land, Internet portal femalefirst reported.
However, local residents are fuming with the "Solaris" star because the stretch of beach is one of only a handful of access points people have to the lake.
Last year, the 43-year-old actor brought chaos to the quiet village when he threw a huge, lavish party at the villa, reportedly worth 10 million pounds, drawing a flurry of
complaints from locals.
Clooney eventually wrote a handwritten letter of apology to his neighbours, saying: "My greatest desire is just to live in this wonderful village."
