Pop diva Kylie Minogue is set to hide herself away on a desert island - having bought a property just off the Australian coast.

Her only close neighbours are likely to be 3,000 koalas, which are the island's main inhabitants, Internet portal femalefirst reported!

A friend said: "Kylie wants somewhere where she can get away from it all. It's very primitive - there's not even power on the island."

The pop princess bought the house for a mere 200,000 pounds but plans to spend up to 1 million pounds renovating it into her dream hideaway.

The mansion on the island - which has just one shop - could be the latest love nest for her and boyfriend Olivier Martinez. She will share the house with sister Dannii and brother Brendan.
