Kate Moss paid some 1,750 pounds to a restaurant owner for a meal she never ate.

The sexy supermodel was set to have lunch with 35 pals at the exclusive diner "The Swan" after a birthday party at night at her countryside retreat in January, reported the Femalefirst celebrity portal.

But after the nightlong bash with celebrity pals - including Jude Law's first wife Sadie Frost and boyfriend, troubled rock star Pete Doherty - the stunning model changed her dining plans and returned to London for lunch with her mother.

The owner was forced to throw away the extra food he had ordered and threatened to impose a ban on her at the restaurant.

Moss dropped in a cheque for 1,750 pounds, a waiter said. She also apologised for the last minute cancellation.
