Supermodel Naomi Campbell has dashed half way round the world to be at her mother's side after the 60-year-old admitted she had breast cancer.

The catwalk beauty is said to be devastated by the news and has re-arranged all her work commitments to be with mum Valerie.

Naomi, who flew here from the US after hearing the diagnosis, has vowed to help her mother battle the disease.

Valerie, a former fashion designer and dancer, has always been close to her daughter. She guided Naomi's career and supported her through drug addiction, a number of failed relationships and a string of public bust-ups.
