Pop superstar Britney Spears has been forced to slash the asking price for her luxurious New York
apartment after it failed to attract potential buyers in the nine months it's been up for sale.
The "Born To Make You Happy" beauty, who purchased the East Village pad for $3 million before
marrying dancer Kevin Federline last year, was hoping to sell it for $5.9 million, reported the Internet
Media Database.
But after the high price appeared to scare away most buyers, the singer has decided to cut down the
price to $5.2 million.
The loft-style home had previously been owned by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and hip-hop
mogul Russell Simmons.
