Posh Spice is losing weight fast following the birth of baby Cruz, husband David Beckham has revealed, saying he was "very happy" with her post-baby figure.

"She's great and she's losing the weight quickly, which is pleasing for her. She's very happy - she didn't put much on anyway, to be honest, she only had this little cute bump. But she's really good and really healthy," the English football captain was quoted as saying by Sky News.

The former Spice Girl gave birth to Cruz three weeks ago - the couple's third son after Brooklyn, 6, and Romeo, 2.

Meanwhile, according to Beckham, their eldest son Brooklyn is only just beginning to understand that his father is one of the world's most famous footballers.

"Brooklyn will come to us and say 'Daddy, why are there all those photographers out there?' and we'll say to him, 'Because you're so handsome they just want to take pictures of you'," he said.

"He's starting to understand it now, but he just couldn't understand the whole 'David Beckham' thing. Everyone was coming up to him saying: 'I want to be David Beckham' and then he came home and said 'Daddy, I want to be David Beckham' and he just didn't get it."
