Singer Christina Aguilera has been dropped by fashion label Black Box after she criticised outfits of several Hollywood stars at the Oscars.

The pop diva was supposed to be launching her clothing range with the company until her faux pas at the Oscars, Internet portal femalefirst reproted.

She was widely reported as criticising celebrity clothing ranges as tacky and was quoted as saying: "It makes people look like they don't know what to do anymore."

Bosses at the company were surprised at her comments because she had signed the contract after difficult negotiations.
