Keira Knightley, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are taking to the high seas for real to promote the second movie in the "Pirates Of The Caribbean" series.

The trio will help crew a boat - named Black Pearl after the pirate ship in the film - to take part in a round-the-world yacht race to coincide with the release of the sequel "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," reported Sky News.

In the innovative publicity stunt, British beauty Knightley will join the crew in Europe, Bloom will cover South Africa, Australia and New Zealand and Depp will be on the journey to the US and Brazil.

The film is due for release next July and is a follow-up to the 2003 blockbuster that gave Depp an Oscar nomination for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

A third "Pirates Of The Caribbean" film is planned for 2007.
