"Bend It Like Beckham" beauty Keira Knightley is tired of playing "perfect" roles and is desperate to sink her teeth into more flawed characters.

"I always think imperfection is much more interesting than the perfect. Everyone wants to be perfect but it's boring, it's not real. Characters who are deeply flawed are a million times more interesting to watch," Knightley said.

The 20-year-old British screen beauty, who is seen portraying a darker and more complex character opposite Adrien Brody in the new thriller "The Jacket", describes her role as a refreshing experience.
