Courtney Love, lead singer of the group Hole and widow of Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain, is ready to resume her movie career now that her multiple court cases have closed.
The 40-year-old actress is slated to star in the tentatively titled "Lovelace" in which she will play Linda Lovelace, a famous name in the porn industry and star of 1972's "Deep
Throat".
"Lovelace" will trace the porn star's life from age 17, through her porn career , to her sad death at the age of 53 in 2002.
The 1972 adult film "Deep Throat" , about a woman whose quaint physiology has frustrated her sex life, moved pornography into the mainstream despite Nixon
administration's ban on the films screening in 23 states. The film's notoriety was revived with the recent release of the documentary "Inside Deep Throat."
The documentary's producer Brian Grazer initially planned to make a film based on Lovelace's 1980 autobiography "Ordeal," but later found it far too depressing for a film as
in the book the porn star claims that she was forced to perform the sex acts in the many porn films she made.
