Brooke Shields has confessed she was so low after giving birth to baby daughter Rowan in 2003 that she even contemplated suicide.

"The Bachelor" stunner, 39, reveals all about her battle with the blues in the new book "Down Came The Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression", reported the Internet Media Database.

She says: "I didn't feel joy at all. I was in a bizarre state of mind. This was sadness of a shockingly different magnitude. It felt as if it would never go away."

But, despite the depression at that time, Shields is still keen to have more kids, she said.
