Paris Hilton was almost run over by a car because she was engrossed in a telephonic conversation while crossing a Hollywood street.

The hotel heiress had finished shopped when she blindly walked across the road talking into her mobile phone, and got almost hit by the car.

An onlooker revealed: "Paris was so busy talking and juggling her little dog that she didn't see the car coming. She made it to the pavement after being blasted by the driver's horn, only to get a telling off from an old lady.

"The lady told her to put the 'damn phone' away and said if she were her daughter she would have given her a good hiding."
