Canadian grunge queen Avril Lavigne says she doesn't "need" people around her telling her what to do.
"I don't need a posse. I'm very independent and very low-maintenance. I don't like people touching my hair, doing my make-up or telling me what to wear," the "Complicated"
singer was quoted as saying by internet portal Femalefirst.
"I just find the less people around, the better things are. I don't need people around me telling me what to do. I'm like: 'Just go!'" said the blonde singer, who is notoriously
known for having kicked a girl a few months ago for telling her she had ruined punk rock.
"I never once said I was punk. I'm just a really strong, opinionated person," she had said.
