Blonde beauty Jennifer Ellison has begun a campaign to bag the role of heroine in the next James Bond film, reports celebrity portal Femalefirst.

According to the English singer-actress, since James Bond was himself a British, she would rather have his attention go to a fellow Brit than to an American actress such as former Bond girls Halle Berry or Denise Richards.

"I'd love to be the next Bond girl. That would be my ideal role," the "Brookside" star was quoted as saying.
