Bryan Adams' classic hit "Everything I do" has been voted the top choice as a first dance number at weddings.
According to a poll of 1,082 people taken by Internet portal Tickbox, the Canadian star's song was the first choice for five percent newlyweds.
It was followed by the Carpenters' "Close to you", with 3.9 percent votes in the second place, followed by Louis Armstrong's "We have all the time in the world" on third
place.
Rod Stewart's "Have I told you lately" tied in the fourth place with Elton John's "Your song", and Robbie Williams' "She's the one" came in fifth.
Around three percent in the poll - the first of its kind backed by leading players in the music industry - said they had no first dance at all, while a further four percent
confessed they had forgotten which song was played.
