The death of her father last year has brought Drew Barrymore to mend her relationship with mother Jaid Barrymore.

The "Charlie's Angels" star had endured a troubled relationship with both her parents and became a legally emancipated adult at the age of 15.

But since her dad's passing away, she decided it was time to make amends with her mother.

"(Our relationship) is more functional than it has been. My (dad's death) definitely made me go, 'You've got to let bygones be bygones'. It just made me have a more open mind and an open heart. It matured me," the actress said.
