"The Mummy" star Brendan Fraser has upset some family council groups in the US by joking he'll teach his sons to prick condoms so their partners get pregnant.
Fraser's comments were made during an interview, the Internet Media Database reported. He also declared he was keen on becoming a grandfather.
When asked what advice about women he planned to impart to his sons Griffin and Holden, Fraser said: "Listen to women... and please put a little pinhole in the condom,
because we want to be grandparents sooner rather than later".
Ron Prentice of the California Family Council attacked the actor, calling him "incredibly irresponsible".
"It's unfortunate that Fraser's comments, though understood to be in jest, refer to such a serious subject," Prentice says.
