"Lord of the Rings" star Orlando Bloom has revealed he had sought the advice of Brad Pitt when he split from girlfriend Kate Bosworth in January.

Bloom says "Troy" co-star Brad, who separated from wife Jennifer Aniston around the same time, was a great help, reported Internet portal Femalefirst. "Brad helped me through the rough period after my split from Kate."

Earlier this week, Orlando had hinted he may get back together with Kate. He said the couple were having a temporary break from each other rather than a permanent split.

"We decided to take some time out, but we're really close. We've both got a hectic year ahead, and we thought, just for this year, we'd give each other some time to grow," he said.
