Pop superstar Madonna's hopes of securing a screening at the Cannes Film Festival next month have been dashed after organisers snubbed her documentary
movie.
The untitled film, which the "Material Girl" hoped would premiere at the prestigious event, was described as "interesting" by a selection panel, but they said the overall quality
of the project failed to meet the festival's high standards, reported Ireland Online.
But Madonna remains undeterred. She is now editing the production with Swedish director Jonas Akerlund with a view to premiere it at the Venice Film Festival later this
year.
