Hollywood actor Ben Affleck is rumoured to have proposed to girlfriend Jennifer Garner, reports celebrity portal Femalefirst.

The handsome actor, who was planning to ask the beautiful star to be his wife, thought her birthday (Sunday) would be the perfect day to do so, according to Britain's News of the World daily.

It said Affleck, who starred with the beautiful brunette in super-hero film "Daredevil", had arranged for a friend to take Jennifer out to lunch while he made special arrangements for the diamond engagement ring to be delivered to her - disguised in a huge package.

A source said: "He planned to have the engagement ring packed in a box within a box. The first box is so big he's hiring a truck to pick it up. Jennifer will think he's bought her a car until she gets down to the tiny package."
