Britney Spears has reportedly been put under round-the-clock medical care over fears she could lose her unborn baby, reports Internet portal Femalefirst.
The pop diva, who announced she was expecting her first child with husband Kevin Federline last week, was rushed to hospital earlier this month after suffering from
"implantation bleeding", which can result in a miscarriage.
Now, Britney's worried mother Lynne has reportedly hired a team of nurses, after doctors told her there was a 50 percent chance that Britney could lose her baby if it
happened again.
"Britney was in tears. Though she wasn't in any pain, she was desperate. The prospect of losing the child really got to her," a source was quoted as saying.
Last week, rumours were rife that Britney was expecting a baby girl - something that the 24-year-old singer had sharply denied knowledge of.
