Pop diva Mariah Carey is reportedly in serious talks with the 007 movie bosses over an offer to act in a forthcoming James Bond film.

The millionaire singer, who is planning to launch her own diamond jewellery range, has had scores of film offers since her new "Emancipation of Mimi" album topped the charts in the US and Japan, reports Femalefirst.

"The offers have been flooding in recently. She's in talks about playing a Bond girl and is also about to design her own jewellery," a source was quoted as saying.

Mariah, who has sold an incredible 150 million albums and singles worldwide, had an emotional breakdown in 2001 following her split with husband Tommy Mottola, the Sony boss.
