"Lord Of The Rings" actor Orlando Bloom has been accused of failing to settle a $760 restaurant bill - a debt that's been pending since January.

The Hollywood star had treated his actress girlfriend Kate Bosworth and 30 others to a gourmet meal at the Casaro Amarelo eatery in Rio de Janeiro for her 22nd birthday but was left red-faced after his credit card was not accepted, reports the Internet Media Database.

"It wasn't his fault. There was a problem with our credit card system that night. Although we're sure it's a complete misunderstanding and know he's very busy, we've yet to hear from him," said the restaurant's owner, Fe Behling.
