Jane Fonda has confessed the "love of her life", ex husband Ted Turner, is desperate to rekindle their marriage.

Jane - who split from the multimillionaire founder of CNN TV - discovered he had been unfaithful within a month of their wedding in 1991, celebrity portal Femalefirst reported.

The star, who has vowed to remain unattached forever, revealed: "Ted wants me to get back with him. I wish I could because I love him dearly. But I won't ever give myself up again.

"At the moment I can just go to India and speak at a conference. What would a man coming into my life do to that?"

Meanwhile, the actress has revealed she was bulimic for 50 years - because her father demanded perfection.

She said her low self-esteem was triggered by not being able to live up to acting legend Henry Fonda's expectations - and at the age of 13 she began bingeing on food up to nine times a day.

The 67-year-old confessed in an interview with Britain's Daily Mail Weekend magazine: "I became disembodied and that didn't change until I was 62. I filled that space with food".
