"Frasier" actor Kelsey Grammar will soon be seen playing a furry blue monster in the latest X-Men movie.

Producers insist he's the perfect choice for the part, because the oversized mutant Beast - which has not yet appeared in any of the franchise's instalments - is the most intelligent of all the mutants, reports Ireland Online.

The movie, to be directed by Matthew Vaughn, is set to debut in May next year.
