Supermodel Naomi Campbell's 35th birthday was ruined after a thief stole clothes and jewellery worth 25,000 pounds from her Cannes yacht, reports celebrity portal Femalefirst.

A robber sneaked aboard the yacht Naomi was staying on during the film festival in the French Riviera and raided the beauty's bedroom for expensive jewellery and designer clothes.

The thief got onboard and rifled through the cabins after fooling security by posing as one of the model's entourage.

He also stole items destined for a charity auction. The catwalk queen was reportedly going to donate them at a fundraising sale for the Nelson Mandela Foundation May 19.

The loss of her posh frocks meant Naomi was left with nothing to wear to her birthday party.

So while billionaire boyfriend Flavio Britore comforted Naomi, an SOS was put out to top designers for replacements. Naomi finally made it her own birthday bash three hours late.
