Tom Cruise wants to marry new girlfriend Katie Holmes -- just four weeks after meeting her.

The "Mission Impossible" star made the shock confession after hearing that Katie once told a US magazine that her dream was to marry the actor, reports Femalefirst quoting a chat show hosted by Oprah Winfrey.

"Well I don't want to disappoint her. I'm going to discuss it with her. Honestly, I haven't had this kind of experience before," said Cruise, who is divorced from Australian actress Nicole Kidman.

At the end of the interview, Cruise jumped on to the couch he was sat on to declare his love for Holmes before running backstage to where she was watching. He pulled her in front of the cameras and the pair shared a passionate embrace much to the delight of the show's cheering audience.
