Looks like dating Tom Cruise is starting to pay off for Katie Holmes - she's reportedly set to steal a "Mission: Impossible 3" role believed to have been offered to Lindsay Lohan.

According to the Internet Media Database, Holmes has become the hot favourite to play Cruise's love interest in the action movie sequel.

Holmes and Lohan aren't the only girls in contention for the two parts left vacant by Johansson and Carrie Anne Moss' departure from the project - Keri Russell and Elisha Cuthbert are also reportedly in the running.
