Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn has revealed that the way to help children become well adjusted in life is to treat them like stars.

In an interview with Britain's Independent newspaper, the mother of three also said she took her children on family backpacking holidays with actor Kurt Russell to show them the world outside Hollywood.

"The secret is to let them know they are the real stars, no matter how many people are praising you. Admit to your own frailties so they're not afraid to talk about their own fears," reports celebrity portal FemaleFirst.
