Angelina Jolie, who has a strained relationship with her father Jon Voight, regards him as a stranger, reports celebrity portal FemaleFirst.

The "Tomb Raider" actress, who has not spoken to her actor dad since he went on a talk show and begged her to seek help for "serious mental problems", said the strange relationship doesn't upset her.

Jolie said in an interview with Britain's You magazine: "It doesn't make me feel sad at all. We always had a difficult relationship. We're not similar people and we're not friends."

The 29-year-old mum of adopted Cambodian son Maddox said: "He is no more to me than a man who walks down the street. I'm an adoptive parent and so blood ties aren't what counts."
