Victoria Beckham has slammed reports of husband David being caught cheating with a new woman - terming the rumours "pathetic".

Speaking at a Los Angeles star-studded party to mark the launch of David Beckham's soccer academy, the former Spice Girl said the mystery mini-skirted girl photographed over the weekend apparently kissing her husband was a fan, reports celebrity portal FemaleFirst.

She told a friend: "It's a pathetic joke. Fans come up to him constantly. It's part of his job."

"I know people don't want to believe it, but we are very happy. Everything about my life is good."
