Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks apparently has a secret yearning to star in the British TV show "Miss
Marple".
The American actor, reportedly a huge fan of the sleuth, is in talks with ITV chiefs over appearing in the show,
reports Internet portal Ananova.
Hanks was delighted to discover that a second series of the hit show was being filmed quite close to his film
shooting location.
Hanks, the star of blockbusters such as "Saving Private Ryan", "Forrest Gump" and "The Terminal", is
currently in Britain along with Catherine Zeta-Jones to film the movie version of the controversial book, "The Da
Vinci Code".
"Friends" star Elliot Gould, who played Ross and Monica's dad in the US TV show, has already signed up to
appear in "Miss Marple", which stars Geraldine McEwan.
