The author of the famous Harry Potter books, J.K. Rowling, has agreed to give a rare interview to the biggest fan with the most impressive knowledge of the fictional boy wizard.

British television network ITV1 has set up a quiz show competition in honour of Rowling's latest book, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", reports Internet Movie Database.

On the show, fans of Harry Potter between the ages of eight and 16 will be quizzed on the books' wizardry facts; this will be a precursor to the launch of the book in July, this year.

The winning Potter-fanatic will be awarded a whirlwind trip to Rowling's hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland, where he or she will be given an exclusive preview of the eagerly anticipated book.

The day will conclude with a special one-to-one interview with the otherwise elusive author.
