Hollywood megastars Tom Cruise and Will Smith are secretly on the look out for a film project to team up on.

Cruise said the two blockbuster superstars were on the hunt for the perfect movie, reports celebrity portal hollywood.com.

The "Top Gun" star said: "Will and I keep talking, we're looking for something. We saw Will's 'Hitch'. That was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I'd like to work with him."

Cruise is also keen to work with current girlfriend Katie Holmes, who was at one point rumoured to be a part of the upcoming "Mission Impossible" sequel.

Tom added: "I'd love to work with her. She's a great actress. We will work together one day, no question."
