Former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, has finally made it to the movies, by landing herself a meaty role in the film Alan Partridge: The Movie.

The film, which will be released in 2007, brings the fictional radio DJ Alan Patridge back on air.

Victoria Beckham will play the diva, whose part calls for a serious comic timing, and is interviewed by Alan Patridge.

"The scripts for Partridge are obviously under wraps and writing is still in progress, but Victoria's part is pretty much done and dusted. She'll be the interviewee that finally allows Alan back on the airwaves with an incendiary chat and her part calls for some serious comic timing. She'll add glamour to the project and prove she's able to take the p**s with the rest of them, it's a brilliant move for her", Fox News quoted a source as telling.
