British bookmakers are accepting bets on the recently engaged Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorcing next year.

Ladbrokes are offering odds of 5/1 that Cruise and Holmes' marriage will not see through 2006, reports people.com. The bookmaker also offers gamblers the opportunity of making an even bet on the couple having a baby next year, 8/1 the baby will be called Paris and 50/1 it's named Nicole.

Cruise, who divorced actress Nicole Kidman in 2001, proposed to "Batman Begins" star Holmes at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France June 17 after a whirlwind three-month romance.

The romance has come under public scrutiny leading to speculations that it is a publicity stunt to fuel buzz for both the actors' upcoming movies. Cruise stars in the Steven Spielberg directed "War of the Worlds".
