Dido, singer of the hit song "Thank You", says there is a "too-thin thing going on in Hollywood".
The 33-year old singer says she is unhappy with the growing trend of thin celebrities who make for poor role models for teenage girls. She is against the pressure that young
girls are under to look good to sell records, reports Annanova.
She is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: "If these celebrities want to starve themselves then that is their choice. But it is not for me and it is not a good example to set for
easily influenced teenage girls. There is definitely a too-thin thing going on in Hollywood."
She added: "I love food too much. If you want to go through your life suffering, being in pain and not eating, that's your choice. I always try to keep people focused on my
music... so I don't parade around in a bra top and hot pants."
Dido shot into prominence when Eminem chose to sample the chorus from her song "Thank You" for his song "Stan" which was about a deranged fan.
