In a bizarre move, Elton John's party guests were told not to talk to him unless spoken to first.

According to Newsweek, the openly gay singer hosted the annual White Tie and Tiara Party at his Windsor mansion in England.

It quoted a guest telling the Daily Mirror of London: "I was staggered when I was told not to approach Elton. To be honest it is absurd. I have been to White Party in previous years and all the guests mingled very informally."

Another guest said: "Elton is obviously a star but that is bordering on paranoia. He is acting like old-fashioned royalty or some tin pot dictator."
