Actress April Florio, who caused a stir last year when she was romantically linked to Brad Pitt, has told her version of the story in the adult men's magazine Penthouse.

The 23-year-old has chosen to downplay the event that made headlines at the time as Pitt's marriage with Jennifer Aniston was falling apart, reports People magazine. Pitt and Anison are now separated.

Florio says: "I spent most of the time trying to let people know that I wasn't responsible and just trying to get out of the whole thing."

US magazines had apparently wrongly identified Florio as the mystery brunette who was seen with Pitt in Greece. At that time her agent had refused to deny the reports.

Florio does confirm she met Pitt once but says she never got involved with him. She feels sorry for Aniston because of the nasty things she got to read about her husband's infidelity.
