Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe is facing a lawsuit from the hotel porter he had injured earlier this month.
The suit alleges that Crowe threw a ceramic bowl at Nestor Estrada after he hit the clerk in the face with the telephone from his hotel room, reports Internet Movie Database.
The prosecution will also present witnesses to the attack and footage capturing the temperamental actor's actions.
The bowl flung by Crowe shattered against the wall near the 28-year-old Estrada's head and then Crowe bowed and assumed a martial arts stance to further intimidate
Estrada, the New York Daily News reported.
Crowe has already been facing charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
His outburst has cost Estrada a gash to his face and numerous apologies by Crowe during a series of TV interviews, including the David Letterman show, failed to soothe
Estrada.
In one of the interviews Crowe stated separation from his wife and family as the cause of his frustration. He said the phone got cut off while he was talking with his wife,
which led to the outburst.
