Penelope Cruz has signed up to model for hip-hop mogul P. Diddy's women's clothing range.

The sultry actress will be the face of the rappers' brand new fashion line 'Sean by Sean Combs', reports celebrity portal Femalefirst.

P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, said he chose the "Sahara" beauty after seeing her in ads for his fashion hero Ralph Lauren.

Penelope and P. Diddy spent two days this week filming the fashion line's commercial in New York. The ad shows Penelope and P. Diddy as they escape the paparazzi in various locations throughout the city.
