Oscar-nominated actor Johnny Depp says he is trying to work out dates with Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards so that the latter can play his father in a sequel to "Pirates of the Caribbean".

The "Finding Neverland" star said he had modelled his pirate character partly on Richards, reports contactmuisc.com.

Depp said: "I've talked to Keith about it and he's been super sweet and keen to do it and it's looking very good.

"The only problem is Richard's work commitments. We are just hoping we can work out the dates with the Stones tour and everything. If that happens, you talk about a dream come true. Does it get better than that?"
