Steven Spielberg seems to be in contention for an Oscar for a movie he just begun shooting.
The Spielberg project, "Untitled 1972 Munich Olympics Project", about the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics, is one among five movies that will be
in contention for the Oscars even though none of them have been released yet, reports Internet site GoldDerby.com.
The other four are: "Jarhead", "Memoirs of a Geisha", "Goodnight, and Good Luck" and "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada".
The site's editor says: "Award voters love real stories, especially when they're important ones about persecution told by Spielberg - 'Schindler's List' reigns as the only film in
modern history to win Best Picture from every major awards group."
