In the early days when she was an aspiring actress Madonna used to have bad body odour, reveals a close friend.

The friend, Janice Dickinson, said: "In the '80s before she was famous, I used to go dancing with Madonna at Danceteria. She and I would be dancing all night on top of the speakers. Madonna had the most vicious body odour.

"It was like she had not showered in a week. She was a great dancer, but I tried not to get too close to her or I would literally pass out. It was that bad," reports the New York Post.

Madonna had to take up nude modeling jobs just to make ends meet when she started off. But her career took off with her first hit "Like a Virgin".
